The following events are from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, except if shown differently

Mark Lewandowski
Will speak about the Buffalo Central Terminal

If you grew up before the 1960’s the Buffalo Central Terminal should have a special place in your life. Its huge concourse, the famed stuffed buffalo, and the clock kiosk were only small parts of the New York Central Terminal on the east side of Buffalo built in 1929.

For our April 15th program we are privileged to have Mark Lewandowski of the Central Terminal Restoration Corporation come to speak to us about the on-going efforts to preserve this beautiful Art Deco building. Architects throughout the world recognize the building as one of the most prominent in the Art Deco style.

I am sure Mr. Lewandowski will provide you with the corporation’s efforts to revive and re-purpose the terminal and make it a prominent part of the re-birth of the East Side of Buffalo, especially now with Buffalo experiencing a renaissance. Photos and other displays will be available for your viewing. This will prove to be a most interesting program so mark your calendar now!
